We’re the people at the heart of Ainsworth Gorkin.

Levi Ainsworth

Founding Partner

I head Ainsworth Gorkin’s corporate and commercial transactions department, where I guide clients through legal compliance or questions related to their businesses.

I advise clients on all sorts of business issues, from their day-to-day legal needs to buying or selling companies.

A large part of my practice is focused on start-ups and mergers & acquisitions. I also specialize in general outside counsel, partnerships, corporate structures, compliance, finance, contracts, and business planning.

I’m a businessman at heart and bring that interest to my work at Ainsworth Gorkin, guiding clients not only in the legal arena but with practical business advice that allows them to best capitalize on their ventures.

Shaya Gorkin

Founding Partner

As head of Ainsworth Gorkin’s litigation department, I handle complex commercial and civil litigation matters for both corporations and individuals.

I specialize in property disputes, breach of contract, as well as other business conflicts such as contentious and messy partnership disputes and disputes surrounding all aspects of business relationships and transactions. Other key focuses of my practice include alternative finance, factoring businesses, and judgment enforcement.

Before and during my time in law school, I worked for a top-tier lawyer who litigated on behalf of high-profile clients and handled billion-dollar settlements. It gave me the kind of experience most lawyers don’t get until years into practice and kindled my love for litigation, which I’m passionate about until today.

When I’m not knee-deep in litigation, you can usually find me spending quality time with my wife and playing board games with my daughters. My kids usually win, which is humbling but also makes me proud! That’s dad life for ya.

Yehuda C. Morgenstern

Associate

As an associate in the firm’s litigation department, my main concentration is complex commercial litigation.

Before joining Ainsworth Gorkin, I worked at boutique complex commercial litigation firms in New York, where I focused on all phases of a wide spectrum of commercial litigation cases in state and federal courts as well as the Securities and Exchange Commission.

I attended Fordham Law School, was an editor of the Comparative Law Journal and interned for a Judge of the Supreme Court of Kings County.

Before law school, I was a chaplain in the New York State Correctional Facilities.

I live in Brooklyn with my family. When I'm not busy in the office, I love to spend quality time with my family, playing board games. Now, I'd like to think that I'm pretty good at them, but my kids may have something else to say about it! I also enjoy reading a good book when I get the chance.
